A new study has claimed that combining the juice of lemon (Citrus limon) and lime (Citrus aurantifolia) with Viagra can quadruple the effects of the impotence drug. According to the research, the juices increases the levels of nitric oxide in the body, leading to better blood flow to the organs – including the penis. The academics involved say that adding the juices to Viagra could allow men to perform sexually within minutes, instead of the usual half-hour minimum recommended by the drug’s guidelines. Lead researcher Ayokunle Ademosun said it is the first study to show citrus fruit can help with impotence, writing in the Journal of Food Biochemistry that the combination ‘could be very effective in the management of erectile dysfunction.
